When we paid our initial deposit we were given an information pack from Porter Davis that outlined some of the standard options and upgrades that we had to choose from.

So we started our search at a Boral show room, unfortunately we chose to do this on a Saturday afternoon and they were closed but fortunately they have small walls built outside of each brick that we could still look at.
We went through all the standard range and only liked Brushwood & thought Tanami was ok for a lighter coloured brick. We liked Brown Terrain from Category 2 & another Brick Cleveland which was on display but not listed in the Porter Davis Categories. We tried to avoid looking at bricks that were over category 2 to avoid costly upgrades.
The following Monday I went back to Boral & they gave me lists of houses that were built with Brushwood, Tanami, Cleveland & Brown Terrain & we spent the next week every night after work driving around looking at the houses.
Straight away we knew that Tanami was not an option for us as we decided we wanted something darker. On the small walls at Boal we really liked Cleveland but when I spoke to Boral and got the addresses the said there was limited supply at the moment (which was probably why it was not on the Porter Davis list) & as it turned out seeing it in large view on a house it was very red & we didn't like it anyway.
So the choice was down to Brushwood (category 1) & Brown Terrain (Category 2)

Brushwood

Brown Terrain
Its funny how things can look so different in real life and on a bigger scale, looking at the two above pictures I really like Brushwood better but when seeing it on a house Brown Terrain is the winner.
