Construction - Week 6

More bricking has been done today, the left side is almost complete as well as most of the window sills

Thursday 31st January 2013 

Bricking along the back of the house as well as the front of the house was done today. We were told they ran out of bricks and are waiting for more to come tomorrow. It also poured with rain this afternoon so not much else would have been done anyway. 

Construction - Week 5

Monday 21st January 2013

Finally 11 days after being delivered, bricking has began 3/4 of the garage side garage wall has been done as well as the front left of the garage

Tuesday 22nd January 2013

Bricking continues, today the front portico was bricked as well as the pillar on the alfresco 

Wednesday 23rd January 2013

Bricking on the left side of the house was started today.
The Windows & roof titles were also delivered 

Thursday 24th January 2013

Today bricking was started on the back of the house as well as the right side

The windows & doors were also installed and the roof trusses covered and ready for tiles

Friday 25th January 2013

Roof tiles were pretty much started & finished today as well as some more bricking 

Problem

We have found our first major problem - someone has installed our front garden tap & water metre ..... right in the middle of our driveway!

The major issue with this is that once installed a tap can only be moved approximately 1 metre without large costs and moving it a metre in any direction still places it in the driveway. 

We contacted our site supervisor to let him know of the problem & then received a phone call from Porter Davis Plumber who told us that they had not installed this tap & was at a loss as to how it got there. 

Our site supervisor is following this up & will be getting back to us about what is going to be done.

Construction - Week 4

Monday 14th January 2013

Wrapping complete

Tuesday 15th & Wednesday 16th January 2013

This week has been a very slow week  with nothing being done for 2 days


Thursday 17th & Friday 18th January 2013

There still hasn't been a great deal done, The plumbing in the walls has been started & the guttering has been done

Christmas

The has been limited work done on our house over the last 3 weeks due to the Christmas break 24/12/2012-14/01/2013
